Seven Point Six

Oct 15, 2026 · 0:29

This week, a report named who must change jobs: the lowest paid. Aki: how many more likely? Old Tane: seven point six times the higher paid, three in four from offices, shops and trucks. Lord Ozen: easy, people change jobs every day! Aki: three point six times faster than they ever have (770,000 a year must switch).

The 11 million Americans McKinsey says may need new occupations by 2035 are mostly the lowest paid: more than three quarters are in office and administrative support, retail and sales, and transportation and logistics, lower-wage workers are 7.6 times more likely than higher-wage ones to have to switch, and the economy would have to move about 770,000 workers a year between occupational groups, 3.6 times the historical rate.
