Quest: Fourteen Months

Juno: Brazil's forty-hour week has a schedule, fourteen months! Mochi: two hours off sixty days after promulgation, two more a year later. Queen Honeycomb: two rest days also start at sixty days, preferably Sundays. The Rust Baron: business wanted ten years, so it's ten years! Mochi: they asked; they got fourteen months, same pay. Tock: fourteen months! Juno: a short week still needs a long calendar.

Brazil's shorter week arrives on a 14-month clock: 60 days after promulgation the week drops two hours and workers get two rest days, preferably including Sunday, and 12 months after that it drops two more, to 40; business groups wanted a longer transition and the opposition argued for ten years, and the rapporteur refused and kept 14 months.
